1. What This Website Is
Essex County Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to Massachusetts public rolls, indexes, and directory collections that can document a dated relationship to Essex County. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a government office, court, library, or custodian.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on it, or returned through a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.

Massachusetts law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-records access discussed by this service is subject to Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c. 66, § 10, and its exemptions in M.G.L. c. 4, § 7, cl. 26.
12. Severability
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
